THIS IS ME, THE BODY I INHABIT, SEWN IN FLESH AND BLOOD I REIGN
The world became still 'neath my presence many years ago. Well, not really, lol. In actuality, I was born in East LA. I saw a womb, pink with white tissues protecting me like clouds in a sunset. My world did not truly begin, however, until 1 fateful day in 2016. I began making beats and loops on an app that, unfortunately, I can no longer remember as of now, but it should still exist somewhere.
Originally, I was known, in the beginning, as Omega Haven. This persona early on wasn't really known at all besides a few people whom I shared 1 album with that was one of the very first solo projects I ever had at the time. Although "album" is a bit of a stretch, as it wasn't really shit. basic samples, bad loops, and chops. Still, this project had the potential of the sound I had during my first official FL Studio project, "Lilith," that showed me how limited I was with the app I was on at the time and made me become curious about FL. Following this, 2017 rolls around.
From 2017 to 2019, I was youthful in my understanding of the program FL Studio. I had released a few albums, some nonexistent now, like Lilith, Beleth, Marry Me or Die, ILOVEYOU, Software Paradise, Fatal Error, Biohazard, Demigod, and some others that were during a pretty bad phase of my time. But this time was crucial in establishing who I was as a producer as well as my first few instances performing live. In between collecting music and making it, I felt caught in an uncertain web of mixed mush laid as paste, ready to be consumed by software bugs.
Between 2019 and 2022, I was beginning to finally have a foundation for my own sound and started playing more shows, especially in Portland, Oregon, under the label NORMCORPS. During this time with Golden Boy, I had released more projects on this label and on my own Bandcamp, alongside meeting way more people as well. After some travels between Portland, St. Louis, and Chicago for business-related reasons, and even releasing one of the most important albums in my repertoire, "Critters for Sale OST," landing some solid cred in my presence, I began truly adapting to this newly realized self and being. However, during this time as well, losing 2 close friends within a year span was soul-shattering for me. Golden Boy [September 3rd, 2021] and Yuuki Kobayashi [June 12, 2022]. I believe that this fucked-up event, however, resulted in me finding more of myself within. After that shit, things haven't been the same since. Burning bridges and building new ones led me to gaining a new stance in life, and music became way more serious as well as surreal. After "Body Hammer," while I still made music during this period, 3 years and a locked-out old Instagram account later, as well as finally moving out on my own, allowed me to truly thrive.
Between 2025 and now, I have refortified myself and my approach. For the most part, I've become more experimental, slower, beat-oriented in some areas, and more IDM in others. Felt more right up my alley, but hardcore never truly dies. Even now, I still do chaotic songs and harsh tones. My sound, of course, is ultimately up to you to decide if you feel the same or not. Regardless of it all, I still stand here creating and will continue to create until my body ceases life. Until then, I thrive here making what feels right to me. I only hope you find some enjoyment as you do so. Thanks for reading. - Vrtl
